President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. welcomed the arrival of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine as the two leaders held a bilateral meeting at the Malacañan Palace.
The Ukranian President was accorded with arrival honors and proceeded to the signing of the guest book before commencing his meeting with President Marcos Jr.
During the meeting, the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment in strengthening diplomatic ties between the Philippines and Ukraine, which has been thriving for the past 32 years since its establishment in 1992.
The Ukranian President expressed his utmost gratitude towards the Philippine Government for its unwavering support on issues affecting the European country, particularly in terms of territorial integrity and sovereignty.
In response, President Marcos Jr. reiterated his strong stand in helping Ukraine in all possible ways, noting that his Administration remains committed to the promotion of international rules-based order towards achieving peace and order throughout the region.
