President Rodrigo Roa Duterte met with Mongolian Prime Minister Jargaltulgyn Erdenebat in a bilateral meeting at the Grand Hyatt Beijing in China.

In their meeting, both leaders expressed interest in developing consultations to heighten economic, agriculture and tourism cooperations between the two countries. They also shared insights and commitment in furthering peace and development in the Asian region.

Joining the Prime Minister’s side were Foreign Minister Tsend Munkh-Orgil, Mongolian Ambassador to China Damba Gankhuyang, Member of Parliament D. Terbishdagva, Foreign Affairs Adviser to the Prime Minister H. Chimguundari, Head of the Press Office G. Otgonbayar, Deputy Chief of Mission D. Battsetseg, and Mongolian Embassy Second Secretary M. Umdral.

Also present during the meeting were Foreign Affairs Acting Secretary Enrique Manalo, Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez, National Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, National Anti-Poverty Commission Secretary Liza Masa, Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo, Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella, Senator Allan Peter Cayetano, Philippine Ambassador to China Jose Santiago Sta. Romana, and Philippine National Police Director General Ronald Dela Rosa, Congressman Wesley Gatchalian and Presidential Adviser Martin Diño.
