“We all know that Christmas is really about the children and we always have a merry Christmas when the children have a good Christmas,” said President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. as he led the nationwide gift-giving event at Kalayaan Grounds in Malacañan Palace.

In his brief remarks, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all the home-cares and parents who dedicated their time and effort to taking care of children, not just during the festive season of Christmas but throughout the entire year.

Furthermore, the Chief Executive highlighted the advantages of living in a technologically advanced era. By expanding their teams and utilizing virtual interaction, they can now celebrate Christmas with more children across the country.

After delivering his message, President Marcos Jr. and First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos handed out bags to several children and interacted with them as they walked around to see different booths and games at the Palace grounds.

The ‘Balik Sigla, Bigay Saya’ 2023 was simultaneously held in over 250 satellite centers with a total 17,268 children who received gifts during the event. It was spearheaded by the Office of the President through the Social Secretary’s (SoSec) Office, supported by the President’s private partners, including Jollibee and San Miguel Corporation.
