First Lady Louise Araneta Marcos leads the ceremonial lighting of the Christmas tree at The Mansion in Baguio City on November 27, 2024.

Tonight’s ceremony is open to the public, making the Christmas tree lighting at the Baguio Mansion even more special.

The lanterns in the Christmas tree are part of the third National Parol Making Competition created by students from public high schools nationwide.

The festive evening, a highlight of Baguio’s holiday season, features captivating performances by the University of Baguio Voices Chorale. Adding grandeur to the occasion, the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Marching Band delivers a stirring musical display.

The night concludes with a dazzling fireworks show that lights up the chilly evening sky, drawing applause and delight from the crowd of locals and tourists gathered for the ceremony.

Joining the First Lady are Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Juan Edgardo ‘Sonny’ Angara, Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong and former Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benjamin ‘Benhur’ Abalos Jr.
