“Ang BPSF [Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair] ay naging simbolo ng ating pagbibigay serbisyo sa ating mga kababayan… ito rin ay kumakatawan sa pagkakaisa ng iba’t ibang ahensya ng gobyerno at ng lokal na pamahalaan… tayo ay nagtutulungan upang mailapit ang [mga] serbisyo sa taumbayan,” stated President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. while announcing his plans to hold additional BPSF caravans in 61 provinces and establish ‘Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Centers’ in select areas to ensure continuous service processing for residents, particularly those in far-flung communities.

President Marcos Jr. made this statement as he led the BPSF Agency Summit 2024, dubbed ‘Gabi ng Pagkakaisa’, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City.

According to the President, over the past year, the BPSF has traveled across 21 provinces – from Laoag, Ilocos Norte to Bongao, Tawi-Tawi – providing over PhP12 billion worth of services and nearly PhP5 billion in financial aid to around two (2) million beneficiaries. He highlighted that the initiative has successfully delivered a wide range of services, including vaccinations, permits, birth certificates, social security registrations, loan applications, health insurance enrollments, consultations, driver’s licenses, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) clearances and passports.

“Patunay lamang ito na marami tayong magagawa [para] sa bayan basta’t tayo’y nagkakaisa. Kaya nating baguhin, pabilisin at ilapit sa mga mamamayan ang serbisyo ng pamahalaan. Sabi nga nila, basta’t gugustuhin natin, mahahanapan natin ng paraan,” he said.

The Chief Executive also commended the dedication and sacrifice of public servants and local government units (LGUs), acknowledging their tireless efforts in delivering public services regardless of weather conditions. He urged them to maintain their commitment and continue improving service delivery.

Furthermore, he encouraged all government agencies and LGUs to enhance, expedite and expand services to reach every Filipino, leveraging technology to bring government closer to the people.

With the success of the BPSF, some provinces were inspired to conduct their own mini BPSFs showcasing the program’s impact and importance.

“Maging inspirasyon nating lahat ang tagumpay ng BPSF. Patuloy tayo na magsikap sa pagbuo ng isang Bagong Pilipinas, kung saan ang bawat Pilipino ay may pagkakataong umunlad, magtagumpay sa buhay at makatulong sa iba na nangangailangan din,” he said in concluding his message.

Prior to his keynote address, President Marcos Jr. toured the BPSF journey exhibit featuring the 21 provinces where the government service caravan were held. He also witnessed the turnover of assistance to beneficiaries of the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) grant and the Start-up, Investment, Business Opportunity and Livelihood (SIBOL) Program, as well as the conferment of awards to the 21 pioneering hosts of the inaugural BPSF.
