President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and his counterparts from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) participated in a dialogue with the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ABAC) in Vientiane, Lao People’s Democratic Republic (PDR).

The President reaffirmed the Philippines’ commitment to collaborating with the private sector to achieve ASEAN goals and urged ABAC to play a pivotal role in shaping the regional economy, especially through the ASEAN Business and Biodiversity Initiative (ABBI).

Joey Concepcion, Chair of ABAC Philippines, led the delegation that included George Barcelon and LT Group President Michael Tan. The Forum allowed ABAC Representatives to address trade and investment challenges, emphasizing the need for public-private partnerships (PPPs) to foster sustainable economic growth and align policies with business needs to boost ASEAN competitiveness.
