Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru of Japan and Mrs. Yoshiko Ishiba arrive at the Ages Hangar, Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Pasay City for a two-day official visit from April 29 to 30, 2025.

This marks the Japanese Prime Minister’s inaugural visit to the country since assuming office, reaffirming the strong and enduring partnership between the Philippines and Japan.

Following his arrival, Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru proceeds to the Rizal Park Monument in the City of Manila to pay tribute to the heroism of Dr. Jose P. Rizal in a wreath-laying ceremony. He will then head to Malacañan Palace to hold a bilateral meeting with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
