President Tharman Shanmugaratnam of the Republic of Singapore arrives at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 in Pasay City as he embarks on a three-day State Visit to the Philippines from August 15-17, 2024.

This is his first visit to the country in an official capacity as Singapore’s new Head of State. The last Singaporean leader who paid a visit to the Philippines was former President Halimah Yacob in 2019.

President Shanmugaratnam proceeds to the Rizal Park Monument in Manila to pay tribute to Dr. Jose P. Rizal in a wreath-laying ceremony. He will then head to Malacañan Palace to hold a bilateral meeting with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
