President Benigno S. Aquino III witnessed the arrival of the first commercial Airbus A380 from Emirates Airline at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal III, as four other foreign airline companies transferred its flights from NAIA Terminal I.

Alongside Transportation and Communications Secretary Joseph Emilio Abaya, President Aquino visited NAIA Terminal III as part of his inspection on the current status of terminal transfer of some foreign airlines namely Delta, KLM, Emirates, Singapore Airlines, and Cathay Pacific.

Moreover, the President was briefed about the airport’s security measures, as well as the passenger volume and traffic during operations. President Aquino lasted for about an hour inside the airport, where he interacted with some of the balikbayans and inspected baggage counters, among others.
