President Rodrigo Roa Duterte arrived past 5:00 in the afternoon at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi for a three-day visit to India.

The President is set to participate in the ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit and India’s Republic Day together with the other nine (9) leaders of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) who were invited by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as Chief Guests for the Republic Day celebration.

President Duterte’s trip is considered a milestone visit since it has been a decade when a Philippine Chief Executive last visited India.
