President Rodrigo Roa Duterte arrived at the Beijing Capital International Airport for his Official Visit to the People’s Republic of China from August 28 to September 1, 2019.

The President was welcomed by officials of the Philippine Embassy in Beijing, China led by Ambassador Jose Santiago ‘Chito’ Sta. Romana and representatives from the Chinese national government.

The said visit marks the Chief Executive’s fifth trip to the East Asian country since assuming office. Aside from Beijing, President Duterte shall also visit the southern city of Guangzhou in Guangdong province for the first time to show his support to the Philippine basketball team, aka ‘Gilas Pilipinas’, at the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) 2019 World Cup.
