President Benigno S. Aquino III arrived in Bali, Indonesia around 11:45 a.m. via PR 001 to participate in the 21st Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Leaders’ Meeting and CEO Summit.

The President will join other Heads of State/Government in the discussion of the summit’s three key priorities: attaining the Bogor Goals, achieving sustainable growth with equity and promoting connectivity. The main event on the first day is his address on “Why Inclusive Growth Matters” in the APEC CEO Summit Conversation with Leaders at the Bali International Convention Center.

According to Secretary Ricky Carandang in a press briefing prior to his arrival, President Aquino will also take the opportunity to meet foreign businessmen and encourage them to invest in the Philippines.

The Chief Executive is accompanied by his economic team composed of Finance Secretary Cesar Purisima, NEDA Director-General Arsenio Balisacan, Trade and Industry Secretary Gregory Domingo, Chief of Presidential Management Staff Julia Abad, and Cabinet Secretary Jose Rene Almendras.
