President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. formally welcomed Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru of Japan to the Philippines during a welcome ceremony in Malacañan Palace.

Arrival honors were accorded to the Japanese Prime Minister, wherein the two countries’ anthems were played. Both leaders also introduced their respective delegations.

Thereafter, the two leaders proceeded to Malacañan Palace where the visiting Prime Minister signed the guest book.

Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru is on a two-day Official Visit to the Philippines from April 29-30, 2025.
