President Benigno S. Aquino III was welcomed by United States President Barack Obama at Sunnylands Garden and Center in Rancho Mirage, the venue of the Special US-ASEAN Summit hosted by the United States of America (USA).

Other nations in Southeast Asia that are member-nations of ASEAN include Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, co-chair of the meeting, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
