at the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 2013

President Benigno S. Aquino III participates at the 21st Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Bali, Indonesia.

Working with this year’s theme, “Towards Resilience and Growth: Reshaping Priorities for Global Economy,” twenty-one Heads of State/Government are anticipated to discuss three main concerns during the summit. These include the attainment of the 1994 Bogor Goals, achievement of sustainable growth with equity, and promotion of connectivity.

The President is one of the three country heads who are expected to deliver a message at the APEC CEO Summit on the topic of “Why Inclusive Growth Matters.” He is joined by other speakers including Thailand Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and Peru President Ollanta Humala.

Aside from his attendance at the APEC Leaders’ Meeting and APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) Dialogue with Leaders, the President is scheduled to have bilateral meetings with President Humala of Peru and President Enrique Peña Nieto of Mexico.
