President Rodrigo Roa Duterte joined his fellow Leaders from the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) on the second and final day of the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting (AELM) hosted by New Zealand via virtual convention.

Today’s AELM Retreat Session 2 focused on ‘Recovering from COVID-19 to Build Prosperity for All Our People and Future Generations’ where all 21 APEC Leaders delivered their respective interventions.

APEC 2021 under the Chairmanship of New Zealand carried the theme, ‘Join, Work, Grow. Together.’ It made a commitment to speed up the cross-border flow of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines and acknowledged the need for APEC’s long-term response to the pandemic to be sustainable and inclusive of all people.
