Following his inspection of the Tangos-Tanza Navigational Gate, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. personally checked on evacuees during his visit to the Tanza National High School Evacuation Center in Barangay Tanza 2, Navotas City.

The evacuation center currently shelters 162 families totaling 538 individuals. Residents started evacuating as early as July 22 due to nonstop rains and flooding caused by a series of typhoons and the enhanced southwest monsoon (habagat). These weather conditions exacerbated flooding in low-lying barangays, with floodwaters reaching waist-deep during high tide.

During the President’s visit, residents received food packs from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), along with sleeping kits and hygiene kits.
