President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. successfully conducted the School Connectivity Drive — a collaborative effort aimed at accelerating full-scale digital transformation in education, especially in underserved areas — during his visit at Flora A. Ylagan High School (FAYHS) in Diliman, Quezon City.
In line with the government’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and responsive opening week for School Year 2025–2026, the President assessed the school’s readiness and engaged with Grade 11 students and teachers.
He also held a virtual interaction with school heads and stakeholders from geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDAs), whose schools are now powered by Starlink internet connectivity. These included ten (10) schools from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
During the session, teachers and principals expressed heartfelt gratitude for the government’s ‘Free Wi-Fi for All’ program, highlighting how reliable connectivity supports student research and projects, while providing educators with essential access to digital tools.
Today’s event reinforces the Administration’s broader digital agenda under the Bagong Pilipinas vision, where quality education transcends geography, and every Filipino learner is empowered with access to knowledge and opportunity.
