President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. was among the early voters in the 2025 National and Local Elections, casting his vote at Precinct 36-A in Mariano Marcos Memorial Elementary School, Batac City, Ilocos Norte.
He was joined by his mother, former First Lady Imelda Romualdez Marcos; his son, Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative Ferdinand Alexander ‘Sandro’ Marcos; and his sister, Irene Marcos-Araneta.
Listed as voter number 58, he completed the voting process within minutes. His ballot was smoothly processed by the vote-counting machine without any errors.
To ensure wide voter participation, the Chief Executive signed Proclamation No. 878 declaring May 12 a special (non-working) holiday upon the recommendation of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC).
This year, over 68 million registered Filipinos are expected to vote for more than 18,000 positions nationwide that include senators, congressmen, governors, mayors, vice mayors, councilors and party list representatives.
