Marking the culmination of the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas nationwide campaign efforts, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. called on every Filipino to choose candidates who prioritize national interest over political affiliations during the Alyansa’s Miting de Avance held along the Nueve de Febrero Street in Mandaluyong City.
Speaking before a vibrant crowd, President Marcos Jr. emphasized the critical role of unity in driving the nation forward, stating, “Ang Bagong Pilipinas ay isang pangakong ginagawa nating totoo araw-araw. At ang inyong suporta ay ang aming inspirasyon. Naniniwala ako na ang lakas ninyo ang magdadala sa atin sa Bagong Pilipinas.”
He outlined several achievements of the Administration across various socioeconomic development fronts. These include the significant decrease in inflation rates resulting from strategic legislative reforms that encourage investment and economic stability, and the historic low in unemployment rate at 3.8%, the lowest in 20 years, attributing this to over 4,000 job fairs conducted nationwide.
The President discussed education reforms, including a new K-10 curriculum, the construction of 16,000 classrooms and support for teachers through better benefits, clearer career paths and extended breaks. He also highlighted improvements in healthcare, such as expanded PhilHealth benefits and BUCAS (Bagong Urgent Care and Ambulatory Service Center) centers.
Reaffirming his commitment to national security and defending the country’s sovereignty, the President stated, “Hindi naman po tayo naghahanap ng gulo. Tayo naman ay sumumpa po tayo, kaming lahat na opisyal na ipagtatanggol namin ang konstitusyon ng Pilipinas. Ipagtatanggol namin ang teritoryo ng Pilipinas, ang soberanya ng Pilipinas, ang karapatan ng Pilipino.”
Concluding his remarks, the President urged voters to back the Alyansa senatorial slate, assuring them of their commitment to national progress.
“Kaya po sa darating na Lunes, huwag na po kayong magdalawang-isip. Isipin po ninyo ito ang pinagpipilian ninyo: ang pinagpipilian ninyo ay dapat – pipiliin po ninyo na iboboto ninyo ang alam ninyo ang makakatulong sa taong-bayan, ang magtutulungan sa lahat kahit na hindi kapartido sa pulitika, kahit na hindi kaibigan. Ngunit para sa ikabubuti ng Pilipinas, nandiyan po ang Alyansa,” President Marcos Jr. said in closing.
