President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. discussed the Metro Manila Smart City Infrastructure for Network Resilience project with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and other agencies in a sectoral meeting at Malacañan Palace.

The project aims to provide a centralized fiber optic network that will directly connect 17 local government units (LGUs) in Metro Manila to the MMDA and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT). This will ensure a more efficient and faster response to accidents, traffic management and real-time flood level monitoring.
