A stronger anti-corruption drive takes center stage at the sidelines of the 2025 Open Government Partnership Asia and the Pacific Regional Meeting (OGP-APRM)

Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah ‘Mina’ Pangandaman called on global leaders, advocates, and stakeholders to lead anti-corruption initiatives aimed at strengthening institutions and promoting transparency and accountability in government during the forum titled ‘Leveraging Strategic Collaborations to Address Corruption’ at the sidelines of the OGP-APRM.

“As champions of democratic and open governance, we have a responsibility to step up and lead global efforts to combat corruption. As we know, this requires strong leadership and collective resolve,” Secretary Pangandaman stated.

During the forum, the Budget Secretary shared the ongoing efforts of the Philippine government to combat corruption, including the implementation of the New Government Procurement Act and digitalization initiatives across the bureaucracy.
