Quirino Grandstand, City of Manila
January 26, 2025

In line with the Administration’s vision of creating a more inclusive and people-centered governance framework in the Philippines, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), in collaboration with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), proudly hosts the Open Government Partnership (OGP) Fun Run at the Quirino Grandstand in the City of Manila on January 26, 2025.

This year’s Fun Run aims not only to promote health and wellness but also to champion the values of open government. It serves as an avenue for the public to gather and show support for initiatives that enhance government accountability and transparency, as well as participation and solidarity in pushing for social reforms.

This first-of-its-kind community running event features three (3) categories: three (3) kilometers, five (5) kilometers and 10-kilometer races for over 4,000 participants, including members from various government agencies and casual runners. Proceeds from the event will benefit the PRC, supporting its critical life-saving initiatives.

The OGP Fun Run marks the beginning of the Philippines’ hosting of the 2025 OGP Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting (APRM) which will gather high-level representatives from government, the private sector and civil society. Scheduled for 5-7 February 2025, this meeting aims to foster open governance across Asia and the Pacific.
