Culminating a yearlong hosting by the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (PDR), President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos joined fellow Leaders and spouses from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) for the Opening Ceremony of the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits at the National Convention Centre in Vientiane, Lao People’s Democratic Republic (PDR).

With the theme, ‘Enhancing Connectivity and Resilience’ that aligns with Laos’ commitment to building a more connected and resilient ASEAN, the back-to-back Summits feature 16 leaders-led meetings over three (3) days, with approximately 82 outcome documents scheduled for adoption during the 2024 ASEAN Summits.
