“Sa tulong nito, maiibsan ang bigat ng inyong mga pasanin at magkakaroon ang lahat ng pagkakataong makabangon at makapagsimulang muli… Hindi na kayo mangangamba sa pambayad sa amortisasyon. Hindi na kayo matatakot na mawala pa ang lupang pinagkukunan ninyo ng pantustos sa araw-araw,” conveyed President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) in Nueva Ecija when he led the distribution of Certificates of Condonation with Release of Mortgage (CoCRoM) together with the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).

Pursuant to Republic Act (RA) No. 11953 or the New Agrarian Emancipation Act (NAEA), these certificates relieve ARBs from all their loans, which include interests, penalties and surcharges incurred from land awarded under Presidential Decree (PD) 27, RA No. 6657 and RA No. 9700.

The President and DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III distributed a total of 9,832 CoCRoM for 6,000 ARBs from the Province, which covered 10,450 hectares of agricultural lands. He further announced DAR’s plans for another CoCRoM distribution in the Province that would relieve an additional 4,000 ARBs in the soonest possible time, making the total amount of debt relieved by the government to around PhP500 million for agricultural lands in Nueva Ecija.

Apart from the distribution of CoCRoM, President Marcos Jr. turned over a total of PhP41 million worth of agri-credit assistance to over 400 ARBs. Additionally, a program called ‘Agri-Puhunan at Pantawid Program’ was launched earlier through a partnership among the Department of Agriculture (DA), Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) and Planters Products, Inc. (PPI). Under this program, every farmer will receive an Interventions Monitoring Card (IMC) that can be used to purchase seeds, other agricultural tools and equipment from accredited merchants.

“Marami pa po akong pangarap at plano para sa Pilipinas,” the Chief Executive added in his remarks, highlighting other government programs to help uplift the lives of every Filipino.

Among these are PhP1.31 billion worth of assistance provided to over 260,000 beneficiaries under the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP), and the Office of the President’s (OP) fund allocation of more than PhP300 million to make medical services from public tertiary hospitals free of charge, such as the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) in Manila, Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu and Amai Pakpak Medical Center in Marawi, among other hospitals nationwide.
