President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. received the 750-Piso Silver and 7,500-Piso Gold commemorative coins from Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Eli Remolona Jr., highlighting the 75th anniversary of central banking in the Philippines, in a simple ceremony at the President’s Hall in Malacañan Palace.

The Chief Executive is presented with the gold and silver non-circulation legal tender coins featuring the Intendencia, also known as the Aduana Building located in Intramuros, City of Manila that served as the first headquarters of the Central Bank of the Philippines, on the obverse side of the coins.

The reverse side of the coins show markings of the year ‘1949’, the 75th anniversary logo in color, the inscription ‘Celebrating 75 Years of Central Banking in the Philippines’, the BSP seal and the year ‘2024’.

The BSP minted the two (2) commemorative coins with a mirror-like finish, utilizing the latest digital printing technology, while showcasing the BSP’s diamond anniversary.
