Following his Working Visit to Berlin in the Federal Republic of Germany, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. headed to Prague, Czech Republic to embark on a three-day state visit beginning March 13, 2024.
The President, together with First Lady Louise Araneta Marcos, Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri, House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, several Cabinet members and the rest of the Philippine delegation, arrived at the Vaclav Havel International Airport in the capital city of Prague.
Philippine Embassy officials led by Ambassador Eduardo Martin Meñez and his spouse, Madame Marissa Meñez, as well as Consul General Indhira Bañares welcomed the Chief Executive and the First Lady. The Czech Republic was represented by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Eduard Hulicius, Ambassador Karel Hejc and his spouse, Michelle Louise Hejcova, and Tomas Pernicky (Director of Protocol Department of the Office of the Czech President).
President Marcos Jr’s. State Visit to the Czech Republic marks an important milestone in the two countries’ diplomatic relations as it celebrated 50 years of bilateral ties last October 5.
