President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. commenced the second day of his State Visit to Canberra, Australia by offering a wreath at the Australian War Memorial.
As a centre for national commemoration, the Australian War Memorial houses together a shrine, world-class museum and an extensive archive, remembering the sacrifices of Australians who died in war, those in operational service and those who have served the nation in times of conflict.
Among the Memorial’s iconic areas that remain accessible to visitors include the Aircraft Hall, Hall of Valour, First World War Galleries, Second World War Galleries and the Commemorative Area, which includes the Hall of Memory, Roll of Honour and Pool of Reflection.
