Ms. Rachel Bernabe is a member of the Filipino Community in Canberra who works in the tourism industry. She expresses her hopes for the Administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to usher in positive change for the country, emphasizing on economic development, social welfare and unity.
“For me a new Philippines is a country abundant in opportunities for everyone and where these opportunities are grounded on the principles of justice and equality,” she says during an interview.
Ms. Bernabe is actively involved in fundraising initiatives and provides strong support to her countrymen in the Philippines, particularly to the Dumagat Tribe in Barangay Calawis, Antipolo City.
“I believe that a new Filipino is someone who is resilient, adaptable to change, cares for others, has the courage to pursue their dreams and is ready to contribute to their nation’s progress,” she expresses.
