President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. conducted a site visit at the Soil Laboratory Building located within the Provincial Capitol Grounds in Prosperidad, Agusan Del Sur.

The Soil Laboratory Project is a partnership between the Governments of the Philippines and Australia through the Australian Centre for International Agriculture Research (ACIAR).

The project is capable of physical, chemical and biological characterization of soils. It can analyze around 100 samples per day of soils, plants, water, fertilizer and gas.

During the site visit, President Marcos Jr. and Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. handed over 2,400 bags of rice-certified seeds and 2,000 pouches of assorted vegetable seeds to five (5) farmer-representatives from the municipalities in Agusan Del Sur that have been badly affected by the recent flooding in the Province.

The attendees in the event included Her Excellency Hae Kyong Yu (Ambassador of Australia to the Philippines) and Dr. Johnvie Goloran (Executive Adviser-Scientist on the soil).
