President Joko Widodo of Indonesia arrives at the Villamor Air Base in Pasay City as he embarks on an Official Visit to the Philippines from January 9-11, 2024.

The visit of the Indonesian President aims to reaffirm his commitment to deepen and expand ties with the Philippines, as well as to further increase collaboration on various areas of cooperation between the two countries.

President Joko Widodo is set to engage in a bilateral meeting with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and a series of activities in Malacañan Palace on the second day of his visit.

As founding members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the Philippines and Indonesia are close neighbors and partners that have enjoyed longstanding and robust cooperation in a wide range of areas in the political, economic and people-to-people relations.
