Kalayaan Grounds, Malacañan Palace

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. warmly received President Joko Widodo of Indonesia in Malacañan Palace as his fellow Southeast Asian leader continued his three-day Official Visit to the Philippines.
Arrival honors were accorded to the Indonesian leader at the Kalayaan Grounds that was attended by the respective delegations of the two countries.
En route to the Palace, the two leaders were serenaded by Banda Kawayan (Bamboo Orchestra), a unique ensemble of young and talented musicians playing a mix of local and international songs using instruments mostly made of bamboo and other indigenous materials.
Thereafter, President Marcos Jr. invited President Widodo to sign the guest book at the Reception Hall inside Malacañan Palace.
The Indonesian leader’s official visit aims to deepen and expand ties between the two nations that have enjoyed longstanding and robust cooperation in a wide range of areas in the political, economic and people-to-people relations.
