Leodia Salcedo Pagunsan came to Lao People’s Democratic Republic in 2011 after spending almost eight years of teaching and holding high administrative school positions in Thailand. In the Philippines, she used to be a college instructor in her home province of Camiguin.

Aside from her, there are also fourteen highly qualified and professional Filipino teaching personnel at Sengdara Bilingual International School including Ms. Pagunsan’s husband. She describes Filipino teachers as dedicated, hardworking and passionate in their job and these are the qualities why they are very much preferred by various international schools in Vientiane, Lao PDR.

Sengdara Bilingual International School has a total student population of 143 from Kinder to Grade 7. It offers two languages to its students – English, which is taught by the Filipino teachers in various subjects in the morning, and the Lao language being used in the afternoon.
