December 12, 2023

In a continued effort to combat disinformation, misinformation and fake news at the grassroots level, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) brings the CommUnity Caravan to the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) Manila on December 12, 2023.

This marks the second stop of the PCO CommUnity Caravan following its launch on December 5, 2023 at the Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) in Intramuros, Manila.

The PCO CommUnity Caravan features multimedia booths from diverse news agencies and broadcast networks under the PCO umbrella, such as the People’s Television Network, Inc. (PTV), Radyo Pilipinas News (RP1), Philippine Information Agency (PIA), Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation (IBC13), Philippine News Agency (PNA) and the Presidential Broadcast Staff-Radio Television Malacañang (PBS-RTVM).

Each booth presents its programs through an informative tour, detailing its mandate and the array of services it offers to make government services more accessible to Filipinos. Participating agencies also extend invitations for on-the-job trainings (OJT) opportunities within the official communications arm of the President and its associated agencies.

In addition, the ‘Konsyerto sa Palasyo’ holds auditions for new talents to be featured in concerts celebrating the achievements of the nation’s contemporary heroes.

The PCO plans to take the CommUnity Caravan to schools and universities across the nation, aiming to inspire and engage the Filipino youth in grassroots nation-building initiatives in support of the Administration’s new brand of governance, ‘Bagong Pilipinas’.
