President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen held a bilateral meeting in Brussels, Belgium.

The meeting with the European Union (EU) centered on the way forward for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)-EU relations and the pending Philippine-EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA).

Earlier in his visit, President Marcos Jr. met with European Council President Charles Michel where the Philippines received a commitment of cooperation from the European Council on a wide range of areas including trade and climate change mitigation.
