President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. met with Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar at the President’s Hall in Malacañan Palace.

The Chief Executive discussed the government’s plan to solve the housing backlog in the nation with officials of PAG-IBIG Fund, Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), Social Security System (SSS), Department of Finance (DOF), Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), Landbank of the Philippines (LBP) and top private-owned banks in the country, taking into consideration the funding requirements for the realization of ‘Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino: Zero Informal Settler Families (ISF) Program for 2028’.

The program aims to provide a total of six (6) million housing units to Filipinos within the six-year term of President Marcos Jr. It further seeks to build houses strategically to decrease travel time from home to workplace, provide better career opportunities and lessen the expenses of Filipino families.

The President’s flagship project in housing and urban development also targets to lessen risks to health, disaster preparedness, security and safety of Filipino families which would foster social and economic development across the country.
