State Dining Room, Malacañan Palace

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. discussed his Administration’s legislative agenda as he convened the first Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC) at the State Dining Room in Malacañan Palace.

The 1st LEDAC discussed priority measures on the National Government Rightsizing Program (NGRP), Budget Modernization Bill, Government Financial Institutions Unified Initiatives to Distressed Enterprises for Economic Recovery (GUIDE) and the Unified System of Separation, Retirement and Pension.

Also included in the agenda were several economic bills, national security matters, possible amendments to the Electric Power Industry Reform Agenda or EPIRA Law and the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) Law, among others.

Members from the House of Representatives and the Senate presented their respective priority legislative measures such as possible amendments to the COVID-19 Vaccination Program Act.

Established in 9 December 1992, the LEDAC was created through Republic Act No. 7640. It functions as an advisory and consultative body to the incumbent President that focuses on matters relating to policies and programs considered essential to the national economy.
