Capping off his two (2) day State Visit to the Republic of Singapore, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. convened with the Singapore business community and presented the government’s 8-point socioeconomic agenda during the Philippine Economic Briefing at the Shangri-La Hotel.
“We are presently on a steady path to a strong recovery from the pandemic and a robust economic expansion. In the next few years, our economy is expected to outperform our regional peers,” President Marcos Jr. said.
The 8-point socioeconomic agenda underscores the government’s commitment through broad-based job creation, expansion of digital infrastructure, and promotion of research and development across the country that would help enable the government to reduce poverty and upgrade the Philippines to upper middle-income status.
