President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. met with various business leaders in Indonesia, such as the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry or Kadin Indonesia, and the Philippine Business Club in Indonesia (PBCI) on the second day of his State Visit.

The agenda of the roundtable meeting centered on the promotion of trade and investment to support the Philippines’ economic agenda under the leadership of President Marcos Jr.

In his remarks, the Chief Executive said that the Philippines is now open for business and underscored his Administration’s efforts in addressing macroeconomic fundamentals. These include improving the bureaucratic efficiency, refining fiscal management, promoting job-generating investments, ensuring energy security, and investing in the Filipino people by increasing their employability, encouraging research and development, embracing innovation and enhancing the digital economy.
