Zealandia is a 225-hectare wildlife sanctuary of New Zealand rare biodiversity that is based in Wellington. It cradles over 30 species of native birds, reptiles, insects, and trees including saddleback, takahe, bellbird, pateke, little spotted kiwi, Wellington green gecko, giant weta and silver ferns. This conservation valley is protected by a unique 8.6 kilometer predator-proof fence that is particularly created to keep out non-native species.
