Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Teodoro Locsin, Jr. met with the officials of Hungary in a bilateral meeting held on the sidelines of the International Migration Review Forum (IMRF) 2022 at the United Nations (UN) Headquarters in New York.

The event highlighted the improving relations between the Philippines and Hungary in various fields of cooperation. The IMRF served as a platform for UN Member States to discuss and share progress on the implementation of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (also known as Global Compact for Migration or GCM) — an intergovernmentally negotiated UN agreement on managing international migration.
