Today’s segment of USWAG, Pinas! Special Edition features the ongoing vaccination efforts of Tagbilaran City in the Province of Bohol.

According to City Health Officer Dr. Jeia Pondoc, the whole of Tagbilaran City is on the verge of achieving population protection against the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) by the end of the year as the local government unit (LGU) successfully inoculated almost 98% of its eligible group.

Derived from the Bisayan term ‘uswag’ which means progress, this special edition of the social media program aims to inform viewers about the ongoing mass immunization in different communities across the nation, the tireless efforts of health care workers and medical frontliners in battling the public health crisis, and interviews from inoculated Filipinos and medical experts on the benefits of getting the jab to further boost vaccine confidence amongst the people.

USWAG, Pinas! Special Edition is a flagship program of the Presidential Broadcast Staff – Radio Television Malacañang (RTVM).
