President Rodrigo Roa Duterte led the grand launching and administered the oath-taking ceremony of various officers of the Global Coalition of Lingkod Bayan Advocacy Support Groups and Force Multipliers at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Multi Purpose Center in Camp Brigadier General Rafael T. Crame in Quezon City.

In his message, President Duterte recognized the invaluable contributions of the coalition — calling the movement as a ‘one-nation approach’ in fighting criminality, terrorism and maintaining peace and order.

“We cannot overemphasize the invaluable role of the PNP in deterring crime and maintaining peace and order in our society. But we also cannot deny the fact that, if we are to totally eradicate criminality and terrorism, we need the active participation of our people,” he said.

“The formation of the coalition is a testament to the desire of private citizens and our communities to take part in the difficult task of achieving lasting peace across the nation,” the President concluded.

The Global Coalition of Lingkod Bayan Advocacy Support Groups and Force Multipliers is composed of the Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT), Global Peace Community Relations (PCR) Local and International Help Desk, Joint Industrial Peace Concerns Office (JIPCO), Force Multipliers, Kaligtasan at Kalikasan (KALIGKASAN), Women / LGBT Group, Foreign National Keepers Network (FNKN), National Coalition of IT Advocates for Change (NCITAC), Faith-Based Groups and Barangay-Based Groups, among others.
