President Rodrigo Roa Duterte conferred the Order of Lapu-Lapu with the rank of Kampilan to the wounded-in-action (WIA) soldiers in his visit at the Camp Siongco Station Hospital in 6th Infantry Division (6ID) Headquarters, Maguindanao.

These WIA members of the armed forces, together with some civilians, suffered injuries after a series of explosions in Cotabato City, North Cotabato and Maguindanao on December 22, 2019. Likewise, soldiers who were injured in previous blasts last November were included in the awarding.
