Rodrigo Roa Duterte received the credentials of Her Excellency Shobini Gunasekera, Resident Ambassador-Designate of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Philippines, at the Reception Hall of Malacañan Palace.

the ceremony, Ambassador Gunasekera assured to the President that she would further strengthen the ‘traditional friendly relations’ between the Philippines and Sri Lanka in the duration of her tenure in the country.
