President Benigno S. Aquino III administered the oath of office to former Transportation and Communications Secretary Manuel ‘Mar’ Roxas II as the new Secretary of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) in Malacañang. He replaced the late Secretary Jessse Robredo who passed away after a tragic plane crash.

Also present during the event were the family of Secretary Mar Roxas and the wife of the former DILG Secretary, Mrs. Leni Robredo.
