Taejongdae Resort Park is considered as one of the must-visit places in Busan as it offers coastal scenery and evergreen forests. It was named after King Taejong Muyeol (CE 604 – 661), the 29th King of the Silla Kingdom, who enjoyed practicing archery in the place.
Visitors explore the area either by walking or by hopping aboard the Danubi Train for just 3,000 won. The Danubi Train travels to the Observation Deck, Yeongdo Lighthouse and Taejongsa Temple.
The three-story Observation Deck allows the visitors a panoramic view of the vast blue sea and cliffs. From the Observation Deck, the next destination is the Yeongdo Lighthouse which was built with an art and natural history galleries. The last stop is the Taejongsa Temple, a Buddhist temple, in the middle of a serene forest. The Taejongsa Temple is known for its wonderful atmosphere due to the presence of hydrangea flowers in the early summer.
