USWAG Pinas! is the flagship program of Radio-Television Malacañang (RTVM) that showcases the movement of the national leadership and its agencies, the multi-faceted beauty of the Philippines, and the invaluable contributions of modern Filipino heroes for national development.

Derived from the Bisayan term ‘uswag’ which means progress, the social media program aims to inform viewers on the accomplishments of the current administration and to inspire the Filipino people to contribute voluntarily for the country’s development. 

Featured for this month’s program segment dubbed ‘Special Report’, we give you a close look on the participation of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to the 34th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit held in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand on July 22-23, 2019.

Joined by his Cabinet members, the President convened with his fellow ASEAN leaders in a two-day gathering that carried the theme, ‘Advancing Partnerships for Sustainability,’ where they discussed issues and other matters concerning the Southeast Asian region.

President Duterte also held bilateral meetings with President Joko Widodo of Indonesia and Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-chan of Thailand that strengthened the Philippines’ bilateral cooperation and relations between these two countries.
