President Rodrigo Roa Duterte engaged in a talk with the officers and personnel of the 1102nd Infantry Brigade during his visit to Camp Bud Datu in Indanan, Sulu.

In his speech, the Commander-in-Chief boosted the morale of the soldiers, saying that the government values their welfare and shall continue to provide support to the operational needs of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in keeping the peace and security of the nation.

“I would have wanted to just see kung ano ang maitulong ko, ano pa maipang-dagdag natin. We are acquiring a lot of firearms and I’m hoping by the time I leave the office, talagang nasa lahat ng inyo ang kailangan ninyo,” he said.

The President was accompanied in the event by Senator Christopher Lawrence ‘Bong’ Go, Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Carlito Galvez, Jr., Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, and Presidential Adviser for Military Affairs Secretary Arthur Tabaquero.

The visit is in connection with the bomb explosion incident in a military tactical command post in Indanan, Sulu that killed eight (8) people and injured several others.
