As Bangkok, Thailand gears up for the 34th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit, several hotels within the city have been tapped to serve as venues for this momentous event.

One of these is The Athenee Hotel where the bulk of the 34th ASEAN Summit’s high-level meetings, attended by all the ASEAN Leaders, shall be held. Nearby is the Grand Centre Point Hotel that shall house the Summit’s International Media Center (IMC).

With this year’s theme, ‘Advancing Partnerships for Sustainability’, the ASEAN Leaders are expected to sign 16 outcome documents, four (4) of which are to be adopted: ASEAN Leaders’ Vision on Partnership for Sustainability, Bangkok Declaration in Combatting Marine Debris in ASEAN Region, ASEAN Leaders’ Statements on the ASEAN Cultural Year for 2019, and ASEAN Indo-Pacific Outlook.
